Flying into Beijing you spend one night in the city acclimatising yourself and experiencing your first taste of Chinese culture. From there we head out of the city and spend the night camping on the Great Wall of China.
Next it is an overnight train to Lanzhou a city that is in almost the perfect centre of the country. This will be our base for four nights as we journey to rainbow coloured rocks known as the Dān xiá land-form and to Xiahe, a small rural town populated predominately by Tibetan people home to the Labrang monastery.
After that we will fly to Hong Kong to hike for three days along the MacLehose trail camping on pristine beaches and swimming in the temperate sea water. Our final day will be spent walking on Victoria peak, an easy and relaxing stroll to take in the incredible vista of Hong Kong City.
